Keystrokes getting duplicated in text boxes in modal popups in safari 5.1 on windows

Summary: Keystrokes are getting duplicated in form elements such as <input> or <textarea> on Safari windows inside a modal popup

Steps to Reproduce:

Have a form input or textarea inside a modal popup.
Launch the modal popup via window.showModalDialog
Type into the input test box, say "test"

Expected Results:

characters are not duplicated
test should show

Actual Results:

keystroke of any character is duplicated
tteesstt is shown

Regression:
5.0.6

Notes:
Only safari windows issue, safari mac seems fine.
