Summary: Text cannot be dragged into the Location and Search fields in the toolbar. Use cases: 1. Dragging a URL that isn't a hyperlink into the location field. 2. Dragging a word into the search field. If the user isn't familiar with contextual menus, and doesn't have a hand free for copy-and-paste with the keyboard, this is the only convenient way to search for a selected word. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a Safari window. 2. Select any text on the screen. 3. Drag to the Location field or Search field. Expected Results: The text is inserted into the field, as with any other text field on the system. Actual Results: The drag is rejected. Regression: Unknown. Notes:

Workaround: Search field can accept drag... if clicked active first
The Search field can accept a dragged file/text but only if it is clicked on and made active first. This isn't possible in a single Safari window, though, to drag a word or phrase from the body of a Safari page into the Search field requires another Safari window with Search having been clicked active first.
Cumbersome workaround.
