Xcode scheme selector displays empty list

Summary: When expanded while connecting a device, the scheme selector occasionally empties, losing all schemes until the project is closed and re-opened.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a project with no devices connected.
2. Click the scheme selector to expand it.
3. Connect a device.
4. Wait for the device to be recognized by Xcode.
5. Collapse selector.
6. Open selector again.

Expected Results:
Scheme selector should display the correct schemes.

Actual Results:
Scheme selector occasionally displays "No schemes"
