Summary:

Autocomplete stops working, syntax highlighting stops working, xcode turns into a dumb editor (a la TextEdit)

Steps to Reproduce:

Use Xcode for any amount of time, it seems to prop up randomly.

Expected Results:

Autocomplete to continue working, syntax highlighting as well.

Actual Results:

Autocomplete stops working properly. It suggests methods and properties that do not exist for the object behind the cursor.

Syntax highlighting fails at the same time.

Regression:

This worked great in 4.2.

Notes:

I can get syntax highlighting and autocomplete to work again if I restart Xcode, but this failure happens very frequently.

Same Here

I'm experimenting the same every time I add something to the Prefix.pch or add someting in a .h that is imported in the Prefix.pch

I am seeing similar behaviour

  • XCode 4.3 fails to auto-complete methods of a particular class
  • It works sporadically for other classes
