Summary:

Building an iPad project gives strange png errors every time, but unfortunately not consistently on the same files.

Here's a sample build log:

While reading /Volumes/Air/Boinx/code/iStopMotion-iOSStandalone/iStopMotion/iStopMotion/ClipCameraSettingsButtonExposure.png pngcrush caught libpng error:
   \350\2174\200\352\217]\3348\235P1\352\217Ʊ}\234

Verify exit code of build task with internal identifier 'CopyPNGFile ClipCameraSettingsButtonExposure.png'

Preceding build task claims to succeed in spite of generating error messages. Please file a bug report.

This is pretty annoying and only started appearing after adding more large @2x png files to the project through localizations. We currently need a few 2048x1536 pixel PNGs in the project and 1-2 of them always generate this error while building.

Tried to open those PNGs in Preview and re-save them, but no avail.

Please advise!

I am getting the same issue

Right now I am trying to build an app for store submission. I only get there error then, when I build for the simulator, I don't get the error. This is an update to include iPad retina images and I just upgraded to Lion and the new SDK.
