Performing search in Messages.app causes hang

Summary: Any and every text search in Messages causes the app to hang. Interestingly, performing the same search via Spotlight works great. Steps to Reproduce: Type anything, anything at all, in the Messages search field. Expected Results: A list of transcripts containing the search term. Actual Results: Endless beachball hang. Every time.
