Status:Open Resolved:
Product:Mac OS X Product Version:10.8.1/12B19
Classification:Crash / Hang Reproducible:Always

Summary:
Playing video in Chrome causes the system to hang.

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Install 10.8.1 on a MacBook Pro Retina
  2. Download Chrome Canary from: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/chromesxs/
  3. Navigate to: http://www.nbcolympics.com/news-blogs/badminton/all-eight-women-disqualified-for-throwing-badminton-matches.html

Expected Results:
  Video on page plays.

Actual Results:
  System hangs.

Regression:
This works fine on 10.7. It hangs on 10.8 and 10.8.1

Notes:
Our guess is that some drawing code by Chrome causes the driver to hang. After that any calls that go to the window server just lock up. I've attached stack traces from Chrome and the system log.
The video card on my system is: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB

For reference I've put a copy of Chrome Canary build 23.0.1252.0 here: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B0Odde3V7EhWazdhYU1ER3h1cVk This also includes a web archive of the website that can reproduce the bug.
