Steps to Reproduce: 

0. Have a previous Aperture library on your system.
1. Updgrade your system to 10.8.2 and Aperture 3.4 at the same time.
2. Launch Aperture 3.4

Workaround

  1. Uninstall (delete) Aperture 3.4
  2. Install Aperture from CD again
  3. Run Software Update to bring it back to version 3.4 Fixed.
