Changing system volume under load can cause balance to change

Summary:

When changing the sound volume under high CPU load, the sound balance is sometimes changed. I’ve had this on two MacBook Pro models.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Get system load up so that the interface momentarily hangs.
2. Change the system volume using the keyboard.

Expected Results:

Just a volume change.

Actual Results:

Sometimes, the sound balance (left/right) is changed.
