Unable to open file due to sandboxing?

Summary: I received two reports from users of my app that they are unable to open documents created with the app. After duplicating the document, the duplicated file works without a problem Steps to Reproduce: Variant 1: Double click in Finder to open document. Variant 2: Use Open Panel Expected Results: The document opens. Actual Results: Opening the document fails with the error message: "The document <Document name> could not be opened." Error output in Console.app: Variant 1: sandboxd[456]: ([453]) mdworker(453) deny mach-lookup com.apple.ls.boxd (import fstype:hfs fsflag:480D000 flags:250000005E diag:0 uti:com.mindnode.mindnode.mindmap plugin:/MindNode Pro.app/Contents/Library/Spotlight/MindNodeSpotlightImporter.mdimporter - find suspect file using: sudo mdutil -t 41226478) Variant 2: WindowServer[78]: _CGXSetWindowHasMainAppearance: Operation on a window 0x3f4 requiring rights kCGSWindowRightOwner by caller MindNode Pro Regression: / Notes: I attached the mdworker crash log that was provide to me be the customer.
