Xcode 4.6 hangs every time you switch git branches

Summary:
When Xcode 4.6 is open with a project file, and you use another program (like terminal) to switch to a different branch (git checkout branch), Xcode hangs and you have to force-quit it.

Steps to Reproduce:
Open Xcode 4.6.
Open a project that is versioned using git.
Navigate to the folder of that project on terminal.
git checkout <a different branch>
Xcode 4.6 hangs.

Expected Results:
Xcode doesn't hang

Actual Results:
Xcode hangs

Regression:
Xcode 4.5 didn't hang. It crashed sometimes, but it didn't hang.
