27-Feb-2013 04:22 PM Vlad Alexa: Summary: There seems to be a edge case with NSLeftMouseDown events that happens while your app is active (shows menubar menus) but the mouse clicks happen outside any of the app's windows. In this case neither addGlobalMonitorForEventsMatchingMask addLocalMonitorForEventsMatchingMask see the NSLeftMouseDown events. Steps to Reproduce: Implement addGlobalMonitorForEventsMatchingMask and addLocalMonitorForEventsMatchingMask: 1- click on desktop 2- click in your app 3- click outside your app Expected Results: 1- addGlobalMonitorForEventsMatchingMask fires 2- addLocalMonitorForEventsMatchingMask fires 3- addGlobalMonitorForEventsMatchingMask fires Actual Results: 1- addGlobalMonitorForEventsMatchingMask fires 2- addLocalMonitorForEventsMatchingMask fires 3- nothing fires Regression: Notes:
