UTTypeCreatePreferredIdentifierForTag doesn't recognize audio/x-wav MIME type

Summary:
UIDocumentInteractionController can preview wav files if I manually supply their extension. So, the system should know about their MIME type as well.

Steps to Reproduce:
CFStringRef uttype = UTTypeCreatePreferredIdentifierForTag(kUTTagClassMIMEType, @"audio/x-wav", NULL);
CFStringRef utpt = UTTypeCopyPreferredTagWithClass(uttype, kUTTagClassFilenameExtension);

Expected Results:
The value of 'uttype' should be an audio type, and utpt should be 'wav'.

Actual Results:
The value of 'uttype' returned is prefixed with "dyn" (indicates type-not-found according to the docs) and 'utpt' is therefore NULL.
