Summary: Adding the autocomplete/autocorrect and autocapitalize tags to a contenteditable element doesn't turn off auto-capitalization, auto-completion of auto-correction. Steps to Reproduce: Add this to your HTML: <div id="query" contenteditable="true" autocomplete="off" autocorrect="off"></div> Open on an iOS device. Begin typing; autocompletion popup will appear; Expected Results: Turning off autocompletion popup and the autocapitalize feature. Actual Results: Autocompletion/autocorrect and autocapitalization stay on. Regression: Always occurs, auto-completion will not appear though when it is disabled device-wide. Notes: Will buy a crate of beer for the engineer who fixes this! Or wine if you are more into that.

Fixed in iOS 7.0.3 for iPad
This works for me with iOS 7.0.3 on iPad. I didn't fix it, but if you don't find who did, I'll take the crate of beer.
