WWDC Videos Play in App without Login

When requested to log in on the WWDC app, one can hit "Cancel" and then still view the videos.

Engineering has determined that this issue behaves as intended based on the following:

Older videos are open to all users. Current year requires login.

If you have questions regarding this resolution, please update your bug report with that information.
