Summary:
When in an app, tapping on the home button has a ~500ms delay before the animation occurs. Also, the animation itself feels a tad too long

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open an app
2. tap on the home button

Expected Results:
The animation starts instantly and its length is just enough

Actual Results:
There's a delay, and the animation is too long.

Version:
iOS 7 GM on iPad 3
