Summary: The 'fdesetup authrestart' command in 10.9 does not reboot the Mac to the OS login window. Instead, on reboot, the disk is locked and the FileVault 2 pre-boot login screen appears. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Terminal 2. Run the following command: sudo fdesetup authrestart 3. Provide account password for sudo privileges (if needed) 4. Provide password of a FileVault 2-enabled account when prompted. 5. Mac reboots Expected Results: On restart, the disk should be automatically unlocked and the OS should boot to the OS login screen Actual Results: On restart, the disk is locked and the FileVault 2 pre-boot login screen appears. Version: OS X 10.9 / build 13A603 Notes: Running 'fdesetup supportsauthrestart' on both affected machines returns a result of 'true'. Configuration: Behavior was seen on the following machines: Early 2013 15 inch Retina MacBook Pro - AD bound, using only institutional key Early 2011 13 inch MacBook Pro - local users only, using both individual and institutional keys

Closed as duplicate of 15211275. Problem was resolved as of 10.9.2.
