I'm adding AppleScript support to a Cocoa application, and subclassing NSExistsCommand. When my class's performDefaultImplementation is called, the directParameter is an NSAppleEventDescriptor containing an object specifier. But the only way to extract the object specifier is to call a private method, -[NSScriptObjectSpecifier _objectSpecifierFromDescriptor:inCommandConstructionContext:].
