Summary: It's really cosmetical but I want to see the keyword "function" instead of "func" in Swift. Every time I see it, it baffles me. We have space more than we need and we have auto-complete. Using the hole word is much more readable than every abbreviation. Steps to Reproduce: Just create a new function in Swift. Expected Results: Auto-complete should write the keyword "function"... Actual Results: ...but every time I will get the garbled "func". Regression: It occurs every time, in that very first release of Swift. Notes: -

Hello NO!
Swift is already more verbose than Obj-C with it's nonsense syntax sugar like "->" and default indent, why do I need another 4 chars less space than we already have?
I agree with @TheCocoaNaut; please write a rdar with that suggestion and I'll be sure to file a duplicate; I hate writing -> is not natural; would have rather only type > or whatever else but -> is a no no
So, write a rdar with a suggestion to get rid of that "->" nonsense. (-:
