Yosemite: please add preference to show full URL

Safari in the Yosemite beta shows just the domain name of the website you're visiting. I understand that URLs are user hostile (and the old URL bar was taking up a lot of important real estate) but as a web developer and geek I'd really appreciate seeing full URLs. Please add a preference for showing the full URL again.
