Problem description:
Keyboard is unresponsive while Spotlight Search is activated.

To reproduce:
Activate Spotlight and press any key on the keyboard.

Expected result:
Spotlight updates with registered keyboard strokes.

Actual result:
Spotlight does not update and the keyboard is unresponsive.

Additional notes:
Disabling parts of Spotlight or pasting text from the clipboard does not resolve the issue.
