Photo viewing crashes on lock screen

Problem description:
Accessing the camera from the lock screen and tapping the square in the bottom-left crashes the camera app.

To reproduce:
Swipe up from the camera grabber on the lock screen, and tap the square in the bottom-left.

Expected result:
A view of your photos appears, or a message telling you to unlock your iOS device to view photos.

Actual result:
The camera app crashes and returns to the lock screen.
