Product:Developer Tools Product Version:Xcode 6.0 (6A216f)
Classification:Serious Bug Reproducible:Always

Summary:
The instruments command line tool for Xcode 6 beta 2 does not list out iOS simulators like the Xcode 5 version does.

Steps to Reproduce:
Run the following commands, entering your password where prompted:
1. sudo xcode-select -s /Applications/Xcode6-Beta2.app
2. instruments -w help

Expected Results:
Something like the following, which is what I get when I select the Xcode 5.1.1 command line tools:

Instruments Usage Error : Unknown hardware device specified: help
Known Devices:
franklin (com.apple.instruments.devices.local)
iPhone - Simulator - iOS 7.1
iPhone Retina (3.5-inch) - Simulator - iOS 7.1
iPhone Retina (4-inch) - Simulator - iOS 7.1
iPhone Retina (4-inch 64-bit) - Simulator - iOS 7.1
iPad - Simulator - iOS 7.1
iPad Retina - Simulator - iOS 7.1
iPad Retina (64-bit) - Simulator - iOS 7.1

Actual Results:
This is the output:

Instruments Usage Error : Unknown hardware device specified: help
Known Devices:
franklin (0715DEF9-7CC4-53DA-A834-2A92E8DDCCE2)

The local computer (“franklin”, in my case) is still there, but the simulators are missing.

Version:
OS X 10.9.4 (13E28)
Xcode 6.0 (6A216f)

Notes:
It was suggested* that I try `instruments -s devices`. But here is the output from that:

Known Devices:
franklin (0715DEF9-7CC4-53DA-A834-2A92E8DDCCE2)

Same problem: no simulators. I’m looking to get a list of available simulators so I can run some scripts that take automated App Store screenshots in multiple languages.
