Simulator not showing its frame on a big enough screen

I have a 15" Retina MacBook Pro. Using Xcode 5 and the iOS 7 SDK I'm seeing the frame of the iPhone around it. In iOS 8 though everything is smaller and I don't see the iPhone/iPad frames.
