secureTextEntry broken in iOS 8

Summary:
Setting the secureTextEntry in iOS 8 doesn't appear to work. When I switch between the email field and the password field secureTextEntry on the email field gets set but can't be removed.

Steps to Reproduce:
Tap email field.
Tap password field.
Tap email field.

Expected Results:
Email field should not be secure text entry, password field should. And they should stay that way even when switching between the fields.

Actual Results:
Email field and password field both become secure text entry fields.
