FileMerge's merge pane keeps getting bigger

Summary:
Every time I start FileMerge, the merge pane gets bigger.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Quit FileMerge
2. Type: "defaults write com.apple.FileMerge MergeHeight 0"
3. Use FileMerge to diff two files
4. Revel in the lack of merge pane
5. Quit FileMerge
6. Use FileMerge to diff two files
7. Notice your merge pane has shown up

Expected Results:
If I don't show the merge pane, I don't want to see the it the next time I start.

Actual Results:
The merge pane gets bigger on each restart.

Version:
XC5 and OS X 10.10 GM3
