Finder: Attempting to drag-and-drop a file named the bell character breaks dragging and dropping completely

Summary: If you have a file whose name is the bell character, attempting to drag-and-drop that file will fail, and then all subsequent attempts to drag-and-drop other files will fail until Finder is forcibly relaunched from the Force Quit window. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a file with the bell character as its name: $ printf "\a" | xargs touch 2. Open your working directory in the Finder, and the file you just created will show up. 3. Observe that dragging and dropping other files works fine. 4. Attempt to drag-and-drop the "\a" file (shows up as a nameless generic file). Expected Results: You should still be able to drag and drop other files. Actual Results: You are unable to drag-and-drop any files.

This happens when the Finder window is in column view. Different behavior occurs when in, e.g., list view (in the case of list view, graphical corruption occurs if the bell character file is dragged around for anything other than short periods of time; in list view, the bell character file is draggable, but in column view it is not).
