Safari 8.0: iTunes / App Store links do not load

Summary:
Copying an iTunes Store link into Safari don’t load the preview page.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Copy any itunes or app store link
2. Open or switch to Safari.
3. Paste link in address bar.
4. Press enter.

Expected Results:
Safari loads an HTML preview page for the song/album/app and then loads it in iTunes.

Actual Results:
The progress bar moves a bit and then stops about 20% done. The preview page never loads, and the linked content never loads in iTunes.

Regression:
This works in Chrome (stable). It worked in previous versions of Safari on Mavericks and earlier.
