Missing Shuffle and Repeat buttons

Summary:
Upon running the recent iTunes update for the first time, the shuffle and repeat buttons are missing from the "LCD".
After enabling shuffle and repeat from the menu, the buttons appeared and stay even after restarting iTunes.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start iTunes
2. Notice missing shuffle and repeat buttons
3. Click on Controls -> Shuffle -> on
4. Click on Controls -> Repeat -> All
5. Notice how the buttons reappeared

Expected Results:
I expect the shuffle and repeat buttons to be there in the first place, regardless of if I activated the function via the menu or not.

Actual Results:
The buttons are missing.

Version:
iTunes 12.0.1.26 on OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 (14B25)

Notes:
This happened on two systems with preexisting iTunes libraries.
