apps continue to say they need to be updated

Summary:
App store app keeps saying some apps need an update even though the version remains the same

Steps to Reproduce:
Install Things and Disk Speed from the MAS in 2014
Check for updates

Expected Results:
Have the update installed the first time and then not reappear

Actual Results:
perhaps the third install of these two apps will be the charm?

unknown
