Regression on OS X 10.10 Mail in fullscreen mode: Compose view not closed when "ESC" key pressed

Summary:
Up until 10.9.x, hitting the escape key when having a compose email view open in fullscreen mail.app, it would ask whether one wants to save or not save the email as a draft. No such closing behavior can be observed on 10.10

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Mail on Yosemite
2. Switch Mail to fullscreen mode
3. Compose a new email
4. Hit escape key

Expected Results:
usual "close this email compose view" behavior

Actual Results:
no apparent action happens after esc key is pressed

Version:
10.10.2 (14C109) with Mail 8.2 (2070.6)
