Choopy transition animation when opening preference pane

Summary: When opening a preference pane, animation is choppier than in previous versions of OS X. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open System Preferences 2. Click on any preference pane Expected Results: Transition is smooth. Actual Results: Transition is pretty choppy. Regression: Does not occur on Mavericks or previous versions of OS X.
