Launch Screen.xib doesn't use a custom font

Summary:
I have added a custom font to my project but it doesn't show in the Launch Screen.xib.

Added it to my Target Membership. 
Copy Bundle Resources.
In the .plist "Fonts provided by application"
Changed the font in IB.
Set in the App Delegate "[[UILabel appearance] setFont:[UIFont fontWithName:@"ComingSoon" size:15.0]];"

Steps to Reproduce:
I have added a custom font.
Added it to my Target Membership. 
Copy Bundle Resources.
In the .plist "Fonts provided by application"
Changed the font in IB.
Set in the App Delegate "[[UILabel appearance] setFont:[UIFont fontWithName:@"ComingSoon" size:15.0]];"

Expected Results:
Label would use the Font selected 

Actual Results:
Default font used instead.
