Summary: building iPad apps with xcodebuild -scheme throws error. xcodebuild won't build if TARGETED_DEVICE_FAMILY = 2. after changing to TARGETED_DEVICE_FAMILY = "1,2" the build succeeds. Steps to Reproduce: - xcode: create project from template "Single View Application" - select: Devices: iPad - run: xcodebuild -destination id=IPAD_ID -scheme PROJECT_NAME -configuration Debug -project PROJECT_NAME.xcodeproj build Expected Results: ... ... ** BUILD SUCCEEDED ** Actual Results: xcodebuild: error: The run destination XXX's iPad is not valid for Running the scheme 'PROJECT_NAME'. XXX's iPad doesn't match any of PROJECT_NAME.app's targeted device families. You can expand PROJECT_NAME.app's targeted device families to support XXX's iPad. the issue seems to be resolved with xcode 6.1.3
maybe duplicate of (from release notes): Devices previously listed as "ineligible for running” erroneously are listed correctly. (20121178) This issue has been verified as resolved and can be closed.
