Summary:
The Xcode 7.1 GM license agreement includes the following passage:

• You acknowledge and agree that results You may receive from the Apple Maps Service may vary from actual conditions due to variable factors that can affect the accuracy of Map Data, such as road and weather conditions; and  

So I’m left to wonder what else may cause variance from actual conditions.
