Summary:
In Safari Technology Preview Version 9.1.1 (11601.6.15, 11602.1.27), selecting the ridiculous security theatre feature of Allow JavaScript from AppleScript does not work.  Neither does Allow JavaScript from Smart Search Field.

Both simply select and then do nothing, no tick mark, nothing.
