Summary: When I play a media on Apple TV using Airplay, the metadata displayed on the TV (title, artwork) is incorrect if Airplay was enabled *before* playback starts. The information is correct if Airplay is enabled *after* playback was started. This is not an issue related to the application I used since information displayed in the control center panel is correct at all times. Note that I used official Apple applications which should probably implement Airplay support correctly. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Connect to a wifi network for which an Apple TV is available 2. Open an application with audio / video content (and for which media information is displayed in the control center). A good example is the Apple WWDC application 3. Launch a video without Airplay. After the video has started, enable Airplay from the control center. The metadata displayed by the Apple TV is correct 4. Close the video and open another video while letting Airplay enabled. The metadata displayed by the Apple TV is incorrect (the previous media metadata is displayed). 5. Try switching Airplay off and on again while the second video is still playing, you will see that the metadata is now correct Expected Results: The metadata displayed by the Apple TV when using Airplay is correct at all times. Actual Results: The metadata displayed by the Apple TV is correct only when Airplay is enabled after media playback has started Version: tvOS 9.2.1, iOS 9.3.2 Notes: Configuration: Apple TV 3rd generation, iPhone 6

I tested with the newest iOS 10 beta 2 on an iPhone 6S device. I still use tvOS 9.3.2 on the Apple TV since I cannot currently upgrade this device.
You are right, if I enable Airplay and play two different media in a row, I don't get the metadata of the first media when playing the second media. In fact, metadata is only displayed when I play the first media (correctly), but when playing other media afterwards no metadata is displayed anymore. This might be expected behaviour but, as I user, I would rather expect metadata to be displayed each time I play a new media.
Feel free to close this ticket if this behaviour is correct for you, though. Maybe upgrading the Apple TV to iOS 10 would fix this issue as well but, as I said, this is something I currently cannot do, I am sorry.
Thank you very much for your help.
