Summary: softwareupdated uses too much CPU and keeps the fans running. Unfortunately, there is no real way to control when softwareupdated starts or stops. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Wait for softwareupdated to start Expected Results: softwareupdated will use much less CPU, or it will run for a short time Actual Results: softwareupdated monopolizes the CPU for long periods of time Version: macOS Sierra 10.12 Beta (16A239j) Notes: Configuration: Late 2011 MacBook Pro running macOS Sierra 10.12 Beta (16A239j)
