Xcode is complaining that a var is immutable

Summary:
Xcode is saying that some of my `var`s are immutable, and hence I cannot modify some (only some!) of their properties. Attached is a screenshot of the issue and the project in which it happens. The offending file is ImagesViewController.swift, which is the the "Asset Catalog Tinkerer" folder.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Attempt to compile the project.

Expected Results:
No error.

Actual Results:
Error.
