Screenshots on Display P3: Thumbnail in Photos is incorrect

A screenshot taken on a Display P3 screen (iPad Pro 9.7) appears with strange colors as a thumbnail in the Photos app. It appears that only the colors that are out of the sRGB gamut are displayed correctly. A screenshot is attached.
