iOS 10 replaces hebrew Yud + Chirik (יִ) with a circle

Originator:liron.kopinsky
Number:rdar://28561355 Date Originated:30-Sep-2016
Status:Open Resolved:
Product:iOS Product Version:10
Classification:Bug Reproducible:Yes

Summary:
Other hebrew letters with vowels show up ok, but when you have a יִ it gets replaced with a circle.
Other vowels with a yud (e.g. יֲ יֵ יֹ) show up OK.

Steps to Reproduce:
Display text in UI label

Expected Results:
See the correct letter with its vowel (יִ)

Actual Results:
A circle.

Additional info:
It seems this is partially due to a custom font we have.

But on the default iOS font, the chirik is getting put in the wrong place, which is probably what's causing this issue.

The dot under the first letter of the 3rd word from the right (יִצְחָק) should be at the bottom in line with the other vowels, but it's actually showing up directly under the י.
