Pasting into Mail numbered lists leads to overlapping numbers

Summary:
Pasting text with newlines into a numbered list in Mail causes the list to start at 2 and overlap. Please see the attached video for steps/results.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new message.
2. Create a numbered list.
3. Paste text that has newlines in it.

Expected Results:
A correctly formatted numbered list, starting from 1.

Observed Results:
A numbered list, with the first number being an amalgamation of 1 and 2 and the remaining numbers continuing from 2.
