kernel_task hangs the computer after waking from sleep when the weather's warm

Summary:
The weather's beginning to get pretty warm, and my computer seems to be having an odd issue that I believe is related to it–at least, I think it is. When I wake the computer up from sleep, it routinely hangs for a couple minutes as kernel_task hogs the CPU and spikes the load average. I think this is temperature related 1. because the computer's palmrests are rather warm to the touch when this occurs and 2. it's well over 90˚ outside (and as a result, almost 80 inside); I haven't seen this occur in colder weather. Attached is a sysdiagnose, maybe you can figure this one out.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Wait for warm weather.
2. Put the computer to sleep.
3. Wait a while, and wake the computer.

Expected Results:
The computer is responsive.

Observed Results:
The computer lags while kernel_task takes up 300% of the CPU.
