Summary: When using the iOS simulator (Xcode 9 beta 2), significant rendering issues are commonly observed. Initially, I believed this was related to errors in an application I building. However, I’ve been able to observe the issues in system apps (most easily observed in Photos). Steps to Reproduce: - Launch iOS simulator from Xcode > Open Developer Tool > Simulator menu item - Launch Photos app (occurs in system apps as well as third-party apps) - Scroll around randomly; observe flickers and glitches in screen rendering Expected Results: - Screen should never draw inaccurately Actual Results: - Frequent screen glitches and flickers are observed Version: Version 9.0 beta 2 (9M137d) Notes: Model Name: MacBook Pro Model Identifier: MacBookPro13,3 Processor Name: Intel Core i7 Processor Speed: 2.7 GHz Number of Processors: 1 Total Number of Cores: 4 L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB L3 Cache: 8 MB Memory: 16 GB Boot ROM Version: MBP133.0226.B23 SMC Version (system): 2.38f7 System Version: macOS 10.12.5 (16F73) Kernel Version: Darwin 16.6.0 Boot Volume: Macintosh HD
