zip doesn't recognize the -S flag

Summary:
zip's documentation shows that it accepts a -S flag:
       -S
       --system-hidden
              [MSDOS, OS/2, WIN32 and ATARI] Include system and hidden  files.
              [MacOS]  Includes finder invisible files, which are ignored oth-
              erwise.

However, it doesn't seem to be possible to actually use the flag:

$ zip -S

zip error: Invalid command arguments (short option 'S' not supported)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run zip -S.

Expected Results:
zip includes hidden files in the zip file.

Observed Results:
zip refused to run because it says that it doesn't recognize the option.
