There is no way to tell the toolbar in Xcode to not show labels on the toolbar, like "Run", "Stop", "Scheme", "Editor" and so on. I have these labels hidden on all my other apps and I personally find them really annoying. Even iTunes is not showing these.

Apple has still fixed it

Even though Apple claimed it behaves correctly, they have added an appropriate option. Using context menu (when clicking on toolbar area) one can select to only display the icons without the labels starting with Xcode 4.3
