Summary: Safari Downloads window is missing. Steps to Reproduce: 1) Use new Safari 5.1 2) Download a file. Expected Results: 3) Downloads window opens, showing progress of multiple downloads which you can move off to the side and keep an eye on, for multiple files and progress/speed of each. Actual Results: 3) Teeny little popover obscures top right corner of Safari, cannot be moved away, does not remain persistently open while doing other things in Safari. Regression: Notes: Kindly restore the downloads window. Even if it's in the Develop menu, though Window menu was a good place for it before. If it interferes with full-screen browsing, maybe make it into a separate pseudo-tab like Top Sites or bookmarks? Then it could be torn off into its own window.

Agreed with mike here.
The only thing that's missing however is the shortcut (command-option-L) from previous Safari versions...
Just close the little popover and watch the progress meter on the button. Honestly, the entire separate window for downloads interfered with fullscreen browsing more than anything. Trust me, it was still available in DP1 and I used it that way. It was no good.
