Due dates / alerts missing in Lion Mail

Snow Leopard Mail allowed to attach due dates and timed alert to emails. This feature is gone in Lion. While it was implemented a bit awkward in SL, it was still useful. I hoped to improve this feature in Lion not to take it away entirely!
