Sandboxed applications cannot access the Apple Infrared Remote

Applications that are sandboxed cannot access the Apple Infrared Remote

Steps to Reproduce:

 1. Compile and run the attached project.
 2. Click on the "Listen to Remote" button in the app
 2. Get an Apple Infrared Remote, and press some buttons on the remote.

Expected Results:

The remote control buttons that are pressed are shown in the application.

Actual Results:

The application does not respond to remote control button presses. Furthermore the Console log shows the following error message:

   deny iokit-open IOHIDLibUserClient


When the attached application is run without sandboxing enabled, it was able to access the remote control just fine.




still broken in 10.8

however it works after checking "Enable USB access" in the entitlements

Have you tried in 10.7.3?
